Warning signs

Signs it is time to upgrade.

Breakers trip often

If you are resetting breakers all the time, your panel cannot keep up with the load you are putting on it.

Lights flicker or dim

Lights that flicker or dim when an appliance kicks on usually point to a panel that is stretched too thin.

Old fuse box or outdated panel

Fuse boxes and decades-old panels were not built for how much power a modern home runs every day.

Adding a generator, EV charger, or room

Big additions need real capacity. We make sure your panel can carry the new load safely.

A warm panel or burning smell

Heat or a burning smell at the panel is serious. Call us right away and stay clear of it until we check it.

Too few outlets, power strips everywhere

If every room runs on power strips and extension cords, your home is asking for more circuits.

Good to know

Panel upgrade questions, answered.

How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?

Common signs are breakers that trip often, lights that flicker, a fuse box or old panel, or any warmth or burning smell at the panel. If you are planning a generator, an EV charger, or an addition, that is another good reason. We can take a look and tell you straight whether an upgrade is worth it.

What is the difference between a fuse box and a breaker panel?

A fuse box uses fuses that blow and have to be replaced when a circuit is overloaded. A modern breaker panel uses breakers that simply switch off and reset, and it is built for the much higher power demand of a modern home. Breaker panels are safer and easier to live with.

Will an upgrade let me add a generator or EV charger?

Yes. A properly sized panel gives you the capacity and the open circuit space to add a generator, an EV charger, or other heavy equipment safely. We plan the upgrade around what you want to add so it is ready when you are.

Do you give free quotes?

We do. Tell us what you are dealing with and we will give you an honest, upfront price before any work starts.
